I wish quoting the Bible back to those who would deny us marriage was all it took to get our equality.

Exactly. It drives me bat-crap crazy when some obscure sentence, from some obscure book, within the bible is used as an actual legitimate justification to deny humans equal rights - whether those rights be related to voting, interracial marriage, or any other nonsense.

Selectively choosing quotes does not validate your argument, it’s taints your entire argument.

You are either for the “killing of non-virgins, marriage for life, and against gay and interracial marriage”, as an entire package. Or you’re full of shit, and you can just set your bible down and be honest with yourself and those around you, that you’re against these things because they make you all uncomfortable and squirmy inside.
