We didn’t just elect a black president.
We elected a man. A man with strong ideals and the vision to lead this country back to where we should be: a nation that shines the beacon of hope and prosperity thoughout the world. Its important not to forget that this is the reason we elected him, not because of his skin color.
The remarkable thing about him being elected president is that his race did not prevent him from attaining that office. That is the notable thing here: that this man was judged not on the color of his skin, but the content of his character. I think MLK would be proud.
